Description
It's no secret I'm a huge fan of "Superman: The Movie" (1978). One of my absolute favorite scenes is a short one, but nonetheles made a huge impact on me. Towards the end of the movie, Superman stops an earthquake by repairing the San Andreas Fault itself. Director Richard Donner's stunning shot of Superman, deep beneath the earth, slowly but surely lifting the tectonic plates back into place, is permanently seared into my brain as one of the most iconic and mythic representations of my favorite fictional character. This is my tribute to that scene, to Richard Donner, and, of course, Christopher Reeve. Never give up!
